New Blog Look

I decided that I was tired of seeing black and blue all the time, so I decided to do something a little different.

I like the black on it, because it stays true to the feeling that has surrounded my posts before now. I like red and gray because I think it adds some color and abstract personality. I'll probably go back to my all black page again sometime, but I need a change for awhile! I'm also thinking about changing the name, so if you have any suggestions don't hesitate to tell me! I'm probably going to conjure up something that has to do with one of my obsessions (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, or Bob Dylan....)

I nearly named it At the Sign of the Prancing Pony but I didn't like it. I'll keep searching for a good Tolkien name or Dylan name ( the problem is I do book and fantasy stuff more than music stuff, so that seems a little inappropriate...but maybe not. It doesn't have to be about music anyway.)

I really think it looks kind of cRAzY. But im not you so do what you like. I think that the original colors blue, green and whatever it is look alot better. this looks to flashy. Looks like something for a 60's and 70's rock site.

Brandon Sims said...

I don't really like this one. I think that the color that was origanaly on this template look more like your personality. This is too distracting and it looks like some king of rock singers blog.( no offense.)

Anna said...

you are funny. I like this better for the time being, and I meant for it to look flashy. I was going for a bob dylan look that used to be on his site. Sorry, you'll have to live with the red!

Brandon Sims said...

Sorry Anna but everyone I've shown it to,mom, jl, says the same thing. I would just go for something that looks pretty, well, pretty.

Anna said...

that's fine Brandon, but it's My blog! Sorry you don't like it. Sorry JL and Tillery don't like it. But I like it, so I'm going to keep it. I like bright colors. Anyway, I asked for blog name opinions, not blog looks. :)
thanks for your comments, anyway.

I like the new look better! What could be better than looking like 60's and 70's rock??

Brandon Sims said...

VERY abstract!

Anna said...

Those are exactly my feelings Andy! Bob Dylan's site used to be red and black, remember? I really liked that, and I decided to have a go. Sorry Brandon. You'll just have to live with it!

Brandon Sims said...

YOUR NOT BOB DYLAN! BOB DYLAN IS BOB DYLAN! YOUR SITE IS NOT BOB DYLAN'S SITE! BOB DYLAN'S SITE IS BOB DYLAN'S!

Brandon Sims said...

It's too mixed and mysterious it's like halfway between good and bad. Please don't torture your readers.

Brandon Sims said...

Anna,

Me and JL have decided to go on a blog strike. We are not going to read your blog. We are going to lock down our blogs.

STRIKE!

(you have one hour to respond)

OR STRIKE!

Anna said...

You can go on strike if you want to. That's your decision. I'll miss reading your blog though. I'm not going to change the template. Or the colors. This is MY blog, not yours, and I like the way it looks! Thanks again for all of your comments though. I'll also miss your your comments on new posts...but if you must go on strike you must. I'm not budging.

Anna said...

Brandon, I am not Bob Dylan, and this isn't his site, it's mine, and I like red and black. Bob Dylan isn't the only reason I decided to change. I don't think that's a good argument, really. Sorry. I'm not changing it! :)

anna im not going on strike and since jl isnt reading the blog anymore he wont know

Bye!

Tolkien hated Black, and red. He sort of liked grey though.

i haven't seen bob dylan's site, but i think your site looks very artistic.

I love the colors; JL and Brandon are just being silly. By the way, I LOVE the colors. It looks great!

Lauren said...

Anna, I asked my mom if I could give my e-mail to you, and she said no.

Brandon Sims said...

c'mon woman! start postin'!

Anna,

I like the colors on your blog.

Anna,

I like the colors you chose

Anna said...

Bye John Lewis.
Lauren, that is totally OK. I am not at all offended. I understand! Thank you everybody for liking my blog.

John Lewis, if Tolkien didn't like red and black, then what would he have thought of my other blog that was ALL black? How do you know that anyway?

It isn't a question of what Tolkien would have liked, it is what I like. I'm not touching it. I don't strive to be Tolkien. He is a role model for writing, yes, and we have lots of similarities, but we are both VERY different as well. In more ways than one. Thank you for not going on strike Brandon.

Anna said...

I also think that Brandon and JL are being silly. REALLY silly. No offense guys, but you don't like my blog look, so....get over it. Tough.

Brandon Sims said...

Anna,

The colors aren't all that bad, just me and JL have been through several desighn classes and have learned that black, red, and grey don't make that great of a color scheam.

whats the deal about open id.

Anna said...

I think red and black and gray look fine together. It's kind of a color fact....but it might not be for jewelry. I've studied colors a lot too. no idea about open id.

Brandon Sims said...

Hey anna,

Did you ever post anything on Dakota fanning?

Anna said...

yeah I did. why?

Brandon Sims said...

Well I ran across one of her fan websites (don't remeber why) and thay had a big article on the blog of A E Hedges.

Lauren said...

Yeah, like you're from Harvard.

Anna said...

this is so weird! that is the second time that I have been quoted for something I said about an actress. what was the url brandon?

Harvard?!
I'll probably never step foot in a big college like that. I'm not planning to go to college for sure, and if I did I would study around here. I wouldn't mind getting a degree in philology.

Lauren said...

I just meant I didn't believe Brandon because it seemed too much like the whole Cameron Kingly deal.

Anna said...

oh right.

Actually, I found the site and the url....

That's it! That's the same site that quoted me on Kirsten Dunst. Wonder what the deal is?

Lauren said...

Hey! Wow. You're actually famous! That's cool.

Anna said...

Famous? I don't know about that, but I guess my blog is getting out there now. Actually, I gave a trashy review of a book I started and didn't like and then the author of the book left a comment!

Yes it was really him. he has a link and profile that lead to his website. I was kind of embarrassed, and I felt bad that I didn't like his book, but what can I say?

Lauren said...

LOL...what book was it?

Anna said...

Here There Be Dragons!

Lauren said...

That is too funny. Haven't read that book, but from your review, it was a waste of time. You must have made him feel bad! Poor guy.

Anna said...

I'm sure I'll finish the book someday....maybe check out the second one, if I ever have nothing better to read. I feel like I owe it to him...but I'm not going to hurry myself. :)

I really like your blog!
I see that you are a Lord of the Rings fan. I am closely related to J.R.R. Tolkien and I am so pleased to see that he has inspired you to write a book yourself.
I am currently collecting some former drafts of my Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandfathers works and I plan on putting them in a portfolio for others to see.

Abby YOU BRAT! That was Abby, not Elizabeth Tolkien. :)

Another good joke.
